Job summary

Amerlux, LLC in Oakland, NJ is seeking a Buyer to join our on-site team. The role focuses on procuring components for manufacturing commercial lighting fixtures, coordinating with engineering, production and logistics to meet schedules.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in Purchasing/Procurement within a manufacturing environment, with experience in ERP/MRP systems (Oracle or SAP) and knowledge of the lighting industry. This on-site position requires five days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience in Purchasing/Procurement.
• Manufacturing Industry experience required, including use of Supply Chain and ERP/MRP technology applications (Oracle or SAP preferred).
• Lighting Industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure components, materials, and services required for manufacturing commercial lighting fixtures.
• Identify, qualify, and manage domestic and international suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve optimal cost savings and supplier performance.
• Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and compliance with company requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production planning to maintain appropriate stock levels and avoid shortages or excess.
