Job summary

Amerlux, a leader in architectural lighting, is seeking a Buyer to join our Oakland, New Jersey facility on-site five days per week. You will manage procurement of materials, components, and services for production of commercial lighting fixtures, partnering with engineering, production and logistics teams.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in purchasing/procurement, a manufacturing background, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle or SAP preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in Purchasing/Procurement
• Manufacturing Industry experience with ERP/MRP tech (Oracle or SAP preferred)
• Lighting Industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Source and procure components, materials, and services for manufacturing lighting fixtures.
• Identify, qualify, and manage domestic and international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
• Issue and manage purchase orders with accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production planning.
