Job summary

KDS Strategic Search Group is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer for our New Jersey manufacturing facility. You will own component purchasing, forecasting, and inventory planning to keep production moving in a stable, established operation.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, strong supplier management skills, and comfort working in an ERP/MRP environment. Travel to international suppliers is possible as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience buying components/parts for manufacturing operations.
• Ability to work in an ERP/MRP environment and manage forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Own component purchasing, forecasting and inventory requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve shortages.
• Collaborate with production to keep materials flowing on the factory floor.
• Negotiate terms with international suppliers and support SAP/MRP transition.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer / Procurement & Supply Chain professional to join our team at our NJ manufacturing facility.

We're especially interested in candidates with approximately 5–8 years of purchasing/procurement experience and a strong background purchasing components or parts within a manufacturing environment

This is more than a transactional purchasing role. You'll play a key part in keeping production moving for a stable, established manufacturer of custom, high-end architectural lighting solutions.
