Job summary

SERCO OF TEXAS - GULF COAST is seeking a Training and Development Specialist to lead training initiatives for staff onboarding and ongoing development. You will assess needs, design programs, coordinate sessions, and ensure delivery aligns with organizational goals.

The role requires strong facilitation, instructional design, and LMS experience, with the ability to work with diverse teams and coordinate cross‑functional training efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to train diverse audiences.
• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Training Specialist or similar role.
• Strong facilitation, instructional design, and evaluation skills.
• Proficiency with LMS platforms and eLearning authoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department heads, Managers, Workforce Board Staff, and Operations Coordinators to identify training needs and objectives.
• Coordinate training schedules and logistics with the Training Coordinator.
• Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars in-person and virtually.
• Develop training materials, presentations, and resources to support learning objectives.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and gather participant feedback for continuous improvement.
• Manage learning management systems and ensure content is up to date and accessible.
• Monitor participant progress, track training metrics, and generate reports.
