Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a Director-level expert in DB2 for z/OS performance and capacity to lead end-to-end analysis for its large mainframe environment. You will model workload, tune buffer pools, and optimize WLM, delivering executive-ready recommendations on cost and resiliency.

You will partner with CICS, MQ, storage, and cloud-to-mainframe initiatives, translating complex data into clear business actions and guiding multi-team efforts during major initiatives and incidents.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of DB2 for z/OS performance experience.
• Experience analyzing SMF/RMF data and DB2 performance metrics.
• Strong leadership, communication, and executive storytelling skills.
• Experience in large financial services or mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end DB2 performance and capacity analysis across mainframe environments.
• Develop forecasting models connecting workload, DB2 CPU, and MSU/MIPS implications.
• Translate findings into concise leadership-friendly options and actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CICS, MQ, and storage.
