Job summary

Technologix IT Inc. in the United States is seeking a seasoned Mainframe DB2 DBA to support installation, modification, maintenance, testing and performance tuning across z/OS and LUW platforms.

You will lead complex DB2 environments, provide senior-level guidance, design data sharing and connectivity, and optimize SQL with EXPLAIN. You will implement replication and ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and adherence to ITIL/ITSM processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience as a mainframe DB2 DBA.
• Extensive experience in DB2 LUW environments alongside z/OS knowledge.
• Proven expertise with DB2 performance monitoring and tuning tools.
• Strong knowledge of DB2 Connect for remote access and connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Act as Principal/Lead DBA for complex DB2 environments on z/OS and LUW.
• DB2 database design, configuration, review, and administration.
• Maintain and operate DB2 software and tools.
• Diagnose and resolve DB2 SQL errors and reason codes.
• Implement DB2 Data Sharing.
• Design and manage DB2 Connect configurations for distributed applications.
