CVS Health is seeking a Senior Mainframe Capacity & Performance Engineer to lead capacity planning, performance analysis, and optimization across IBM z/OS environments. You will forecast demand, identify bottlenecks, and drive initiatives to reduce MIPS consumption while coordinating with Applications, Infrastructure, and Operations teams.

The role requires deep expertise in z/OS performance analysis, real‑time diagnostics, and strategic planning, with on‑call rotation during high‑volume events

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
Experience supporting IBM mainframe environments is required.

Responsibilities

Monitor and optimize enterprise mainframe resource utilization and performance.
Lead capacity planning and trend analysis initiatives.
Collaborate across cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and reduce MIPS consumption.
Develop and deliver utilization reports and capacity recommendations.
Provide on-call production support during critical events.
