Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking an experienced Program Manager (Leaves & Accommodations) to own the strategy and administration of our leave programs across multi-state teams, ensuring compliance and an empathetic employee experience. You will partner with People, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Operations, and outside vendors to standardize processes, drive improvements, and manage complex cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Five (5) years of progressive experience in leave administration, disability management, accommodations, or related HR programs.
• Three (3) years leading programs, projects, or teams with cross-functional influence.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state leave/disability laws (FMLA, ADA, PWFA, CFRA, HIPAA, paid family leave).
• Familiarity with California statutory leave and disability programs required.
• Experience overseeing third-party leave administrators and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead WelbeHealth's leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, parental leave, personal leave, workers' compensation coordination, paid family leave, and related accommodations.
• Develop and execute a long-term leave management strategy focused on compliance, operational efficiency, employee experience, and scalability.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex or sensitive leave and accommodation matters.
• Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, audits, escalations, and performance reviews to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local leave and accommodation laws, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, CFRA, HIPAA, and workers' compensation regulations.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess organizational impact, recommending updates to policies, practices, and training as needed.
• Maintain complete and accurate leave and accommodation records in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
