Job summary

Chewy is seeking an Associate Director of Leave and Accommodations Programs, based in Plantation, FL (also in Bellevue or Boston). You will own LOA, FMLA, ADA, and PTO program strategy, governance, and operations, partnering with HR, Legal, Payroll, and vendors.

You’ll lead complex initiatives, manage vendor relationships, and drive scalable solutions with data-driven decisions and change management expertise. Competitive benefits and equity are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field.
• 8+ years in FMLA, LOA, ADA, and PTO programs in large organizations.
• Deep expertise in leave requirements and administration protocols.
• Strong project and program management skills across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with vendor evaluations, RFPs, and vendor governance.
• Experience managing third-party administrators and SLAs.
• Change management experience with communication and training.
• Data-driven decision making to optimize processes.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy, governance, and administration of LOA, PTO, and disability programs.
• Policy ownership for Leave and Absence and Time Off policies.
• Ensure compliance and operational effectiveness across programs.
• Design and manage scalable LOA programs and initiatives.
• Lead multi-workstream projects with timelines and risk management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to implement program improvements.
• Lead vendor strategy, RFPs, contracts, and performance metrics.
• Evaluate third-party administrator performance and address gaps.
• Drive change management, communication, and adoption across teams.
• Produce executive reporting, dashboards, and program insights.
• Coach HR partners and leaders on leave and disability programs.
• Monitor industry trends and benchmarking to inform strategy.
