Job summary

Church World Service, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director of Programs Capacity Building to lead strategic capacity building efforts within the Resettlement and Integration Services department. You will design interventions, supervise staff, ensure donor compliance, and drive program quality.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to advance housing, community engagement, and resettlement initiatives, while maintaining grant compliance and delivering measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, international development, or related field; substitution with 5 years relevant experience allowed.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible relevant experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience of a multi-person, diverse staff.
• Strong understanding of refugee resettlement and integration programming.
• Experience overseeing program finances and multiple program budgets.
• Demonstrated experience with successful grant writing, proposal development, and project implementation.
• Strong, demonstrated skill in donor compliance and donor relations.
• Ability to comfortably and effectively speak in front of groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program budgets; review budget forecasts and develop new program budgets.
• Represent CWS in community stakeholder meetings.
• Support program leadership in pursuit of opportunities to support refugee and immigrant integration.
• Identify new areas of need and potential funding opportunities; assist with grant proposals.
