Church World Service, Inc. seeks a Community Engagement Assistant to support local partnerships with faith-based organizations, colleges, and community groups.

The role focuses on outreach, volunteer program growth, and coordinating community events to expand awareness of refugee and immigrant services. The position encompasses volunteer recruitment, materials development, presentations, and collaboration with the local office and development staff to strengthen community ties and mobilize

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of previous nonprofit/volunteer management experience.

Responsabilités

• Maintain relationships with local partners including faith-based organizations and higher education
• Create/update educational materials to raise awareness about refugee, immigrant, and asylum-seeker issues
• Conduct presentations and speaking engagements to train partners and heighten CWS visibility
• Coordinate group volunteering activities, sponsorships, and fundraising opportunities
• Onboard and manage volunteers, matching them to programs and ensuring tasks are completed
