Job summary

Feeding America is seeking a Director of Capacity Building Services to lead the enterprise-wide approach to capacity building and to steward the Capacity Building Way of Working. You will partner with leaders to design capability continuums, embed best practices, and guide cross-functional initiatives to strengthen network performance.

The role requires 10+ years in nonprofit leadership with a proven track record in strategy, change management, and staff development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of nonprofit leadership, organizational development, or related fields.
• Experience designing enterprise-wide frameworks, methodologies, or service models.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional planning and strategy development.
• Exceptional consultation, facilitation, relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Strong strategic thinking, systems thinking, project management and continuous improvement.
• Outstanding written, verbal, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience leading teams and developing staff in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and improve enterprise-wide capacity-building frameworks.
• Serve as internal capacity-building expert, designing strategies, services and resources.
• Lead efforts to streamline practices and adopt improvements across the organization.
• Build and maintain cross-department partnerships to align capacity-building efforts.
• Provide leadership for Collaborative Capacity Building Services and multi-year plans.
• Lead a high-performing Capacity Building Services team and share best practices.
• Supervise the Manager and Coordinator of Capacity Building Services.
• Represent team priorities in network-wide initiatives and special projects.
• Collaborate on donor proposals, grant reporting, and related funding opportunities.
