Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a Labor Relations coordinator to support collective bargaining, grievances, and HR data needs. Under the direct supervision of Labor Relations, you will implement labor relations functions and ensure compliance with policies and laws.

You will assist in negotiations, investigate employee grievances, maintain LR TEAAM data, prepare reports, and coordinate trainings and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, Law, Political Science, or a related discipline.
• Associate’s Degree with two years of relevant experience in human resources, labor relations, or related functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collective bargaining negotiations, arbitration, mediation, and other proceedings by collecting and preparing information and documentation.
• Participate in processing and investigating employee grievances, assist with recommendations for resolutions, and meet with employees and representatives.
• Coordinate and track actions in the grievance process and monitor deadlines related to labor relations activities.
• Redirect and resolve employee inquiries related to labor and employee relations.
• Maintain LR TEAAM data, labor relations records, and confidential information.
• Prepare reports and materials to support labor relations initiatives and maintain filing of documentation.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, such as union partners and city offices.
• Assist in scheduling trainings, orientations, meetings, hearings and events related to labor relations.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline

Associate’s Degree or sixty (60) credits with two years of relevant experience
