The role oversees labor and employee relations at the hospital, guiding management on disciplinary actions and labor relations best practices. You will act as a liaison between the hospital, the 1199 union, and departments, and you will prepare for arbitration and unemployment hearings while ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least three years in a similar HR role with labor relations experience.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, contract interpretation, and collective bargaining processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee labor relations programs and address employee grievances as needed.
• Provide guidance to management on corrective discipline and labor relations best practices.
• Prepare for arbitration and unemployment hearings as necessary.
• Serve as liaison between the hospital, union representatives (1199), and hospital departments to ensure understanding and enforcement of collective bargaining agreements.
