Consumers Energy is seeking a Director of Learning and Development to lead strategic planning, design, and evaluation of our learning initiatives. This role partners with leaders to drive coworker development, align with CMS Energy roadmaps, and deliver measurable improvements in performance and engagement.

The successful candidate will manage budgets, leverage LMS and analytics, and champion Lean and PDCA approaches to continuously improve programs across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Engineering, Technology or related field and 10+ years of experience & working knowledge of training organizations; experience leading highly effective teams; utility experience; instructor experience or high level presentation skills; working in an operations setting to understand the complexities of the environment.
• [OR] Associate's degree in Business, Education, Engineering, Technology or related field and 12+ years of experience & working knowledge of training organizations; experience leading highly effective teams; utility experience; instructor experience or high level presentation skills; working in an operations setting to understand the complexities of the environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Lead relationships with industry experts, external providers, and consultants.
• Manage sub function budget and demonstrate ROI.
• Use KPIs and reporting to show value of learning initiatives.
• Lead lean initiatives and PDCA cycles across the organization.
