Consumers Energy is seeking a Director of Learning and Development to oversee strategy, design, implementation, and evaluation of learning initiatives that boost employee performance and engagement. The role focuses on delivering value across the organization and aligning with the company roadmap.

The incumbent will lead lean transformation, manage budgets, partner with executives, and drive data-informed decisions using LMS and analytics to measure impact and optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in training organizations or related field.
• Experience leading effective teams; utility experience preferred.
• Strong presentation and instructional skills; operations exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of learning initiatives.
• Manage learning technology, LMS, and analytics for impact.
• Build relationships with external providers and experts for leveraged learning.
• Develop and manage the sub function budget and ROI measurements.
• Establish metrics to assess program effectiveness and tie to goals.
• Lead lean initiatives, PDCA cycles, and evolving digital learning tools.
