Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP seeks a Knowledge Management Attorney specialized in Insurance + Intellectual Property to create and manage model documents, forms, and practice resources. You will lead KM initiatives, develop training materials, and promote technologies to improve efficiency across Insurance + Reinsurance Litigation, Transactional + Regulatory, IP, and Privacy + Cyber groups.

The role requires at least five years of law firm experience, JD from ABA-accredited school, and strong

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of law firm KM experience.
• Proficiency in legal research and KM platforms.
• Experience with AI applications for research, extraction, drafting.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Active bar membership in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as KM expert and liaison for assigned practice groups.
• Own and lead the curation of knowledge artifacts in the KM database.
• Develop, implement, maintain KM strategies and systems for the groups.
• Create, organize, maintain model documents, forms, and drafting guidance.
• Capture user feedback to improve KM tools and processes.
• Review materials, track market trends, and monitor legal tech developments.
• Identify gaps and curate targeted attorney contributions.
• Plan and execute KM innovation projects with ROI tracking.
• Collaborate with KM leadership to evaluate new technologies.
• Champion technology adoption and change management.
• Support onboarding of new associates and partners to KM goals.
• Conduct succession planning and document key processes.
• Develop training materials and run demonstrations to drive adoption.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and improve programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of firm, attorney, and client information.
