Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a senior IT Projects leader to manage the group’s project portfolio and guide planning, staffing and delivery. You will oversee complex initiatives, ensure schedules and budgets are met, and align IT programs with corporate strategy.

Responsibilities include strategizing, architecture governance, risk management and collaboration with senior business and IT management to deliver measurable results. This role requires strong leadership and communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a college or university degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5–7+ years of diverse experience in multiple technology areas; at least 3 years supervising technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct multiple complex IT projects and teams.
• Track progress on time and budget and report to top management.
• Develop and maintain corporate systems architecture for IT projects.
• Staffing: determine needs and supervise staff; manage salary and resources.
• Support risk management and compliance for the group.
• Drive overall strategy to meet business and corporate plans.
