Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Lead, Technology Risk and Control to drive the risk treatment program across technology teams. You will guide risk assessments and acceptance processes, working with control officers and stakeholders to ensure robust risk management and governance across the firm.

Qualifications

• Advanced technology risk and controls expertise across resiliency, information security, SDLC, ITSM, governance, cloud, AI and emerging tech.
• Strong written and verbal communication for governance forums and senior stakeholders.
• Experience delivering management-level materials and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the Technology Risk Treatment process with control owners and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to technology and business partners seeking risk acceptances.
• Analyze gaps, assess impact, and prepare risk assessments and treatment options for leadership.
• Define metrics and KPIs to monitor risk management performance.
• Lead governance forums, maintain materials, and track actions to resolution.
• Prepare committee decks and supporting documentation; coordinate outcomes.
• Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement across processes.
• Collaborate with Technology, 2LOD Risk, and 3LOD Audit to share best practices.
• Influence decisions to reduce risk exposure and strengthen culture.
