Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a seasoned IT Project leader to manage the IT Projects group(s) and drive multiple complex initiatives. The role focuses on planning, directing, and delivering program outcomes that align with corporate objectives.

Requires a college degree in Computer Science or related discipline, with 5–7+ years in technology and at least 3 years supervising staff. Strong leadership, governance, and DR-aligned architecture experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires college/university degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5–7+ years of diverse experience in multiple areas of technology or equivalent education/experience.
• At least three years supervising technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct IT Projects group(s) to meet business objectives.
• Plan, manage and direct multiple complex projects with project teams.
• Track progress against time, budget and demonstrated results; report to senior management.
• Define and maintain the corporate systems architecture aligned with disaster recovery objectives.
• Determine staffing needs, oversee hiring and salary administration; provide leadership to staff.
• Develop and communicate an overall strategy to meet business unit and corporate goals.
• Develop and manage programs for risk management and compliance for the group.
• Oversee performance management, career development and diversity programs in assigned groups.
