Job summary

Toppan Merrill is seeking a strategic IT Sourcing & Procurement Category Manager to lead sourcing strategies across software, hardware, cloud services, and IT consulting. You will partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Security, and business leaders to optimize costs, mitigate risk, and support objectives.

Lead negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings while ensuring governance and compliance across the sourcing lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in strategic sourcing or category management for IT.
• Experience negotiating software, SaaS, cloud services, hardware, and IT professional services.
• Strong understanding of licensing models and cloud agreements.
• Experience leading complex sourcing initiatives and vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing and category management strategies that align with business goals.
• Analyze category spend, market trends, supplier capabilities, and requirements to identify opportunities.
• Lead competitive sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, evaluations, negotiations, selections).
• Serve as trusted advisor to IT leadership and stakeholders on procurement strategies and vendor management.
• Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Security to align procurement with priorities and compliance.
• Negotiate complex contracts, licensing terms, SLAs, and SOWs for optimal outcomes.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and governance to monitor performance and compliance.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting with market intelligence and cost projections.
• Identify cost savings, cost avoidance, and value improvements across IT spend.
• Develop and maintain category strategies, roadmaps, and supplier metrics.
• Ensure procurement policies and governance are followed throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare and deliver executive reports and business cases to senior leadership.
• Assist with ROI evaluations and total cost of ownership analyses for tech investments.
• Support continuous improvement in procurement processes and stakeholder experience.
