Job summary

Toppan Merrill LLC is seeking a strategic IT Sourcing & Procurement Category Manager to lead IT procurement initiatives across software, cloud services, hardware, and cybersecurity. You will collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, and Security to deliver value, optimize costs, and mitigate risk.

Lead sourcing events, negotiate complex contracts, and drive governance, cost savings, and supplier performance. Strong stakeholder influence and cross-functional leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement focused on IT.
• Experience sourcing and negotiating software, SaaS, cloud services, hardware, telecom, cybersecurity, and IT services.
• Strong understanding of software licensing models, cloud contracts, and vendor management.
• Experience leading complex sourcing initiatives and negotiations with technology providers.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute IT sourcing and category management strategies aligned to business goals.
• Analyze spend, market trends, supplier capabilities, and requirements to identify opportunities and cost savings.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, evaluations, negotiations, and supplier selections.
• Advise IT leadership and stakeholders on procurement strategies, contracts, and vendor management.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, and Security to align procurement with priorities and compliance.
• Negotiate complex contracts, SLAs, pricing, and licensing terms.
• Manage supplier relationships and governance for performance, risk, and compliance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost projections with market intelligence and sourcing recommendations.
• Drive cost savings, avoidance, and value creation across IT spend.
• Develop category roadmaps and supplier performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare executive reports, business cases, and project updates.
