Job summary

HealthFirst is seeking a Category Manager for IT hardware, software, telecom, cloud, and related technology categories to develop and execute enterprise category strategies. You will collaborate across Procurement COE, IT, Security, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to optimize value and reduce risk through data-driven decision-making.

The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, contract negotiations, and governance, with a hybrid work model including an NYC office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Finance, or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or technology supplier management.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing or managing Information Technology hardware, software, telecommunications, cloud services, or enterprise technology suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of commercial negotiations, contract lifecycle management, software licensing, cloud procurement, supplier relationship management, and technology procurement.
• Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for IT hardware, software, telecommunications, cloud, and related technology categories aligned with enterprise objectives.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives in partnership with Procurement COE and specialists, including market analysis and RFx development.
• Negotiate commercial agreements for software licensing, hardware procurement, cloud services, maintenance, and related technology solutions.
• Lead supplier performance reviews using data-driven scorecards, SLAs, KPIs, and contract performance.
• Collaborate with IT stakeholders and suppliers to continuously improve technology performance, service delivery, and risk management.
