Zusammenfassung

Hitachi Vantara is seeking an experienced Procurement IT Category Manager to lead the sourcing and procurement of IT hardware, software, and services globally. You will develop category strategies, run end-to-end procurement for complex projects, and partner with IT, legal, and finance to drive value and risk management.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in IT procurement, strong negotiation and data-driven decision making, and hands-on experience with SAP Ariba and MS Office.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, IT, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in IT procurement, category management or strategic sourcing.
• Proven track record negotiating and managing high‑value IT contracts (hardware, software, SaaS).
• Deep understanding of IT market dynamics, vendors and trends.
• Strong analytical skills to build business cases and strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder influence.
• Proficiency in SAP Ariba and MS Office; CSCP/CIPS a plus.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement IT category strategies for hardware, software, and services.
• Lead end-to-end procurement for complex IT projects from RFPs to contracts and performance mgmt.
• Collaborate with IT leadership, legal and finance to align strategies with business needs.
• Identify cost reductions, process improvements and value creation in IT procurement.
• Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews and drive improvements.
• Monitor IT market trends and best practices to inform decisions.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Develop and track KPIs for IT category spend, savings, and supplier performance.
