FirstEnergy Corp is seeking a Manager, Strategic Category Management to lead enterprise category strategies across IT and facilities spend. You will partner with business, technology, finance, legal, cybersecurity, and operations leaders to translate requirements into sourcing strategies, drive savings, and improve supplier performance.

You will oversee category teams, apply market intelligence, and manage negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationships to support long-term objectives.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Ten or more years of progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
• Strong knowledge of contracting, negotiation strategy, cost modeling, total cost of ownership, and supplier performance management.
• Experience sourcing IT and/or facilities-related categories is preferred.
• Proficiency in spend analysis, financial modeling, and translating data into actionable recommendations.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for IT hardware, software, cloud hosting, telecommunications, and related services.
• Lead strategic sourcing events from opportunity assessment to supplier selection and contract execution.
• Analyze spend, demand, market dynamics, and total cost of ownership to identify savings and risk-reduction opportunities.
• Partner with IT, Facilities, Finance, Legal, Risk, Cybersecurity, Operations to define requirements and roadmaps.
• Lead complex negotiations covering pricing, service levels, licensing, and data protection.
• Develop and manage facilities maintenance category strategies including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building services.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for repairs, space improvements, renovations, and capital investments.
• Establish and manage a supplier relationship program with governance, scorecards, and business reviews.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with procurement policies and regulatory standards.
• Track category performance and communicate savings, risk, and stakeholder satisfaction.
