Job summary

Relation Insurance Services Select, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager for the Small Business Unit to oversee client relationships and provide strategic coverage guidance for small commercial accounts.

You will collaborate on tailored plans, act as a field underwriter, and manage renewals to maintain high retention. A Property and Casualty license is required, with insurance designations a plus; strong analytics and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Property and Casualty license and maintain it.
• Four-year degree preferred.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and advising on coverage changes.
• Partners in strategic development of tailored insurance plans.
• Acts as field underwriter and authorized representative to assess and bind coverage as appropriate.
• Strategically manages renewals to ensure high account retention.
• Prepares client proposals, submissions, loss evaluations, and risk analyses and provides quotations and policies.
• Assists clients in submitting first reports of claims and arranges claims support.
• Facilitates prompt carrier responses to expedite claim settlements.
• Reviews renewals and audits for accuracy and notifies clients of discrepancies.
• Stays informed about industry developments, new products, legislation, and technology to enhance knowledge and service.
