Job summary

CDW is seeking a Principal Solution Architect to drive complex Hybrid Infrastructure solutions for Federal or State and Local customers. You’ll lead engagements, author SOWs, respond to RFx, and mentor technical teams across technical domains.

You will build strategic relationships, translate business needs into architecture, and travel up to 25%. This role demands a senior leader with deep expertise in Hybrid Infrastructure and a client-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in technical pre-/post-sale delivery OR 14+ years.
• Motivated, self-starter with minimal guidance.
• Strong knowledge of Hybrid Infrastructure and related solutions.
• Ability to lead technical discussions across teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to design complex solutions aligned to business outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Mentor and influence technical teams and stakeholders.
• Operate effectively at executive levels and influence decisions.
• Significant Federal or State and Local customer background.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive Hybrid Infrastructure solutions, including architecture, optimization, assessments, and advisory services.
• Provide consultative guidance aligning solutions with business objectives and strategic direction.
• Lead complex sales engagements; author SOWs, proposals, and technical responses for RFPs, RFQs, RFIs.
• Analyze technical and competitive considerations to design scalable customer-focused solutions.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers, sales, and delivery leadership.
• Build Configurations/BOMs for servers, storage, backup, virtualization, cloud, AI, and related tech.
• Act as trusted advisor and SME across Hybrid Infrastructure technologies.
• Lead architectural visioning sessions and executive-level discussions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance offerings.
• Drive technical enablement, knowledge sharing, and mentoring for Solution Architects.
• Support business development and contribute to go-to-market strategies.
• Acquire and maintain relevant technology and industry certifications.
