Job summary

Sycamore Services Inc. seeks an experienced Human Resources and Training Manager to lead HR and training functions, oversee compliance, and manage the agency’s HRIS systems, including Paylocity.

The role collaborates with the Director of Human Resources to support staffing, employee development and organizational culture. Responsibilities include supervision of HR and training staff, onboarding/offboarding, payroll support, and implementing training programs aligned with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Education, or related field preferred.
• Associate’s degree with substantial relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience required.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification required, or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire.
• Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Paylocity, Workday, ADP, or similar systems required.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day supervision, leadership and guidance to HR and training staff.
• Coaches and develops team; conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback.
• Addresses performance or conduct concerns with the Director.
• Develops onboarding/offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions and compliance.
• Collaborates on recruitment strategies, workforce planning and talent pipelines.
• Serves as SME for Paylocity and provides system updates and configurations as needed.
• Supports payroll processing during absences.
• Advances employee engagement, culture-building and retention strategies.
• Manages training and development programs, including LMS administration and course design.
• Ensures training records, certifications and compliance documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
