Job summary

The Symicor Group seeks a Sr. Deputy Human Resources Manager based in Chicago, IL. You will lead HR strategies, oversee programs and ensure regulatory compliance across the full employee lifecycle.

This role reports to senior leadership and manages HR staff, budgets, and benefits administration. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in HR (Master’s preferred), have proven HR leadership experience in fast-paced environments, strong analytic and communication skills, and the ability to influence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience as an HR leader or manager in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Experience managing employee relations issues and providing guidance to managers.
• Knowledge of performance management processes and techniques.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial acumen.
• Ability to build strong relationships with senior leadership and influence decision-making.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Oversee full employee life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Manage employee relations issues and counsel managers.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on workforce planning and budgeting.
• Oversee benefits programs including health insurance and retirement plans.
