Job summary

General Services Administration is seeking a HR Policy Specialist (Recruitment and Placement) to lead nationwide staffing and recruitment policy, provide expert guidance to agency leadership, and ensure alignment with federal initiatives. The role covers policy development, program evaluation, and cross-agency coordination.

The position requires completing eligibility, time-in-grade, and safety/background checks, plus DE certification and OPM assessments as applicable.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship or National status
• Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of closing date
• Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of closing date
• Register with Selective Service if male born after 12/31/1959
• DE certification in federal government and passing OPM assessment

Responsibilities

• Acts as GSA staffing and recruitment policy expert, providing leadership and guidance
• Advises on sensitive staffing HR issues in line with government initiatives
• Develops GSA-wide policy, directives, and instructions for recruitment and staffing
• Coordinates with TAC and other organizations, offering technical advice as needed
• Applies qualitative/quantitative methods to assess program effectiveness and plan long-range goals
