Job summary

East Hill Medical is seeking a Human Resources/Payroll Manager to develop and administer HR policies, lead payroll and benefits programs, and partner with leadership on staffing and compliance. The role requires strong experience across HR functions, risk management, and training to support the company’s strategic objectives.

You will manage onboarding/offboarding, performance processes, and employee relations while maintaining SOPs and regulatory compliance across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration or related field is required.
• Master’s degree or MBA is desirable.
• Ten years in Human Resources with at least five in management.
• HR certification preferred (SHRM or PHR).
• Knowledge of state and federal employment law.
• Experience as a leadership team member.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional HR support across employment, payroll, safety, benefits, and training.
• Maintain HR documentation and onboarding/offboarding records.
• Oversee payroll processes and payroll coordinator.
• Lead talent acquisition and sourcing strategies.
• Coordinate pre-employment testing and background checks.
• Develop and update HR policies and SOPs with internal controls.
• Manage employee relations issues with sound judgment.
• Coach and guide employees and managers on HR matters.
• Develop management training in interviewing, hiring, performance reviews, and safety.
• Handle leaves, workers’ comp, and unemployment claims.
• Maintain open enrollment and benefits administration.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company culture.
