Job summary

DeKalb Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Human Resources Business Partner to advise management on employee relations, training, and HR best practices. You will partner with leaders to investigate issues, coach managers, and align HR services with organizational goals.

This role emphasizes onboarding, policy development, performance management, and training program delivery using LMS and HRIS tools. Travel to sites is required; strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education or like degree program preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of general human resources experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-unit environments.
• Strong knowledge of employment practices and laws (FMLA, FLSA, etc.).
• Experience delivering training to large audiences and using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive relationships with managers and associates to facilitate service; manages complex employee relations issues and conducts investigations as needed.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers, including coaching and progressive counseling and documentation.
• Identifies training needs and develops content; facilitates targeted training and education policies.
• Assists with annual performance appraisal process and LMS usage.
• Supports onboarding and develops community-specific assimilation strategies for new hires.
• Administers associate recognition programs and conducts exit interviews to identify turnover trends.
• Helps managers understand and apply company policies; collaborates with HR to respond to leave, benefits, talent acquisition, and workers compensation questions.
• Travel to sites in suburban Detroit area and occasional out-of-state trips.
• Other duties and projects as assigned
• Researches educational needs and develops training plans across all levels of the organization.
