Minnesota State Colleges and Universities seeks an HR Business Partner - Human Resources Specialist 2 to provide professional HR services and strategic leadership across campus units in St. Cloud.

The role collaborates with administrators, faculty, and staff to align workforce planning with institutional goals. The position emphasizes compliance with bargaining agreements and laws, supporting organizational redesign, and advising on talent management.

Qualifications

• 2 Years of Closely Related Experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of laws related to HR management including FLSA, EERA, FMLA, and ADA.
• Attention to detail to ensure policies and bargaining agreements are followed.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of HR administration theory to support supervisors and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional HR services including management and consultation with supervisors and employees.
• Lead special HR initiatives for the campus and act as a strategic HR business partner.
• Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, policies, and state/federal laws.
• Support organizational redesign, restructuring, and workforce planning efforts.
• Collaborate with administrators, faculty, and staff to meet institutional needs.
