Job summary

Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner. This full-time, hybrid role reports to the Associate VP of HR and supports employee relations, investigations, compensation, policy, and workforce planning across campus.

You will coach managers, advise on employment law, and collaborate with HR colleagues to streamline processes and improve the employee experience. Salary ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 per year with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Labor Relations or related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible HR experience; master’s substitution allowed with required duration.
• Experience with employee relations, investigations and coaching managers.
• Experience with labor relations and represented employees.
• Knowledge of compensation, classification and organizational design.
• Knowledge of applicable employment laws including FMLA and state leave programs.

• Advise leaders, managers, faculty and staff across assigned areas.
• Handle employee relations, investigations, compensation, and policy issues.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment and position development.
• Provide guidance on compliance, leaves, and HR technology.
