Art Academy of Cincinnati is seeking a Human Resources Officer to oversee HR programs, payroll, benefits, and compliance. The role reports to the VP of Administration and Finance and collaborates with faculty and staff across the campus.

The position requires leading recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations, with responsibilities for HRIS administration, benefits, and regulatory compliance. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Cincinnati campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related area (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in non-profit sector and higher education preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to coach and advise leadership.
• Experience with recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.

Responsabilités

• Lead recruitment, hiring and onboarding of new hires.
• Post jobs on portals and diversity sites; manage candidate communications and interview scheduling.
• Coordinate onboarding with hiring managers and educate on benefits and HRIS use.
• Administer payroll, timekeeping, and benefits enrollment; manage annual leave and leave requests.
• Maintain personnel files and ensure compliance with campus policies and procedures.
• Provide HR guidance to leadership and participate in relevant committees.
