Job summary

The Cincinnati Art Museum seeks an HR Generalist to run daily HR operations in partnership with the Director of Human Resources. Responsibilities include recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and compliance.

This salaried exempt role reports to the Director and is largely onsite with a Monday–Friday schedule. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field with 3–5 years of HR experience; SHRM/PHR preferred; strong communication, confidentiality, and analytical skills;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or a related field with 3–5 years HR experience.
• SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ADP or similar HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Full lifecycle recruitment from advertising, interviewing, to offers; onboarding and new hire orientation.
• Manage internship program and budget.
• Lead staff engagement programs and HR events with the HR Coordinator.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance, and conflict resolution.
• Communicate staffing issues to museum leadership; conduct internal investigations.
