Job summary

GEODIS is seeking an experienced HR professional to manage compliance, recruitment, orientation, and employee relations for a Virginia-based team. The role supports government reporting, training, and the administration of benefits and performance programs.

Responsibilities include supervising HR staff, handling personnel transactions, and guiding management on policy interpretation and problem resolution. This full-time onsite position offers growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years related HR experience or equivalent
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business materials and regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to present information to groups of managers and the public
• Ability to interpret instructions and solve problems

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and reporting regulations affecting HR functions
• Recruit, interview, test, and select employees to fill vacancies
• Plan and conduct new employee orientation
• Maintain personnel transactions for government reporting
• Train management in interviewing, hiring, and performance processes
• Advise management on employee relations issues
• Respond to inquiries regarding HR policies and programs
• Administer performance review and salary administration programs
• Administer benefits programs and leave policies
• Conduct exit interviews and manage separations
• Supervise HR staff and departments
• Direct, coordinate, and evaluate assigned HR units
• Plan, assign, and direct work to subordinates
