Responsibilities

• Direct employment activities, ensuring properly qualified employees are recruited and hired in a timely manner.
• Ensure policies and programs are understood and communicated; disseminate information to all employees.
• Oversee HR programs through HR staff; monitor welfare plans and documentation.
• Administer wage and salary administration and performance appraisals; review wage ranges annually for equity.
• Oversee payroll processing on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Review and approve management recommendations for employee terminations.
• Maintain records and reports for department operations.
• Inform executives of significant problems affecting company goals.
• Develop and supervise training programs; conduct supervisory training as needed.
• Lead safety and health program implementation and OSHA data tracking.
