Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to guide staffing, employee relations, training, and salary/benefits administration. The role operates at strategic and hands-on levels to ensure regulatory compliance and HR operations across plant locations.

Responsibilities include directing HR initiatives, coaching leaders, driving recruitment and succession planning, and ensuring proper HR documentation in Workday, while maintaining confidentiality and safety

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years’ progressive human resources experience.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to drive initiatives.
• Must communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
• Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; Workday experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to the HR team to implement staff initiatives
• Coach leaders and frontline personnel on conflict resolution and compliance
• Drive recruitment, selection, and succession planning for internal customers
• Manage salaried recruiting process, screen candidates, schedule interviews
• Initiate job offers and ensure proper documentation in Workday
• Provide HR-related training on performance counseling and employee relations
• Counsel managers on performance management and maintain documentation
• Lead initiatives around engagement, diversity, talent management, training, and change management
• Mentor and cross-train employees, provide feedback
• Identify opportunities for process improvements
• Ensure compliance with union agreements and address grievances if any
• Follow safety initiatives and PPE usage
