Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking an Human Resource Manager to act as a member of the leadership team, developing complex HR policies and programs for a large processing and/or hatchery operation. You will guide staffing, compensation, training, performance management and compliance across the organization.

The role requires five years of HR experience in manufacturing, strong leadership, and the ability to drive strategic change while ensuring lawful and ethical practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
• PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP preferred.
• Minimum five years HR experience; manufacturing setting preferred.
• Experience leading HR initiatives aligned with business goals.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of complex HR policies and programs.
• Direct HR team to execute staffing, regulatory processes, employee relations, and org development.
• Consult leaders on staffing, compensation, training, and compliance.
• Provide HR-related training on performance counseling and employee relations.
• Mitigate risk through collaboration with Legal and Compliance.
• Lead engagement, diversity, talent management and change programs.
• Collaborate with Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition on strategies to attract and retain talent.
• Drive recruitment, selection, and succession planning.
• Gather data to determine organizational needs and inform decisions.
• Mentor and coach employees; provide feedback.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with union agreements; address grievances.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
