Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki in Holyoke, MA seeks a strategic Human Resources Manager to lead employee and labor relations, workforce planning, and organizational development across multiple facilities.

You will partner with site leadership and union representatives to support a 24/7 workforce while ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and employment laws. Ideal candidates have 7+ years HR experience, strong IR skills, and certifications such as PHR/SPHR/SHRM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years progressive HR experience with employee and labor relations.
• PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certifications preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; HRIS, payroll, time and attendance systems.
• Strong integrity, confidentiality, and ethical judgment.
• Ability to align HR strategy with business objectives.
• Proven leadership and change-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site leadership to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
• Develop policies, processes, training, and surveys to support HR compliance and strategy needs.
• Provide strategic HR leadership across multiple facilities and locations.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies across all sites.
• Conduct site visits to assess workforce needs and build relationships with leaders and employees.
• Interpret and administer labor contracts across locations.
• Partner with leadership and unions to resolve workplace issues and maintain relations.
• Lead or support grievance investigations and arbitration preparation.
• Participate in collective bargaining negotiations and implementations.
• Monitor labor relations trends and mitigate employee relations risk.
• Coach managers on performance management and disciplinary actions.
• Develop workforce planning and succession plans.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
