Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Principal, Human Resources Specialist to own strategic employee initiatives for a national security–focused AWS segment. You will partner with cross-functional teams to design compensation, engagement, growth, and culture programs, analyzing complex data to inform leadership with clear narratives and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR management or related field.
• 10+ years in HR specialist or related roles.
• Experience creating large-scale organizational programs.
• Experience analyzing HR data to inform workforce strategies.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams and partner with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Own vision and strategy for engagement, growth, and compensation programs for a growing matrixed AWS segment.
• Analyze workforce data to identify trends, inform business priorities, and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Design engagement strategies that build culture across functionally isolated teams and lead initiatives for leadership cohesion.
• Partner with HRBP, compensation, talent acquisition, workforce planning, personnel security, and legal to create compliant, scalable mechanisms.
• Leverage AI and available tooling to deliver results quickly while collaborating with BI and TPM teams.
