Job summary

KOMPAN U.S. is seeking an HR Generalist II to join our Austin, TX team.

You will manage payroll, compensation support, timekeeping, benefits, and onboarding across North America, partnering with Finance, Payroll, and HR colleagues to ensure compliant, accurate records and a positive employee experience. The role requires collaboration with Talent Acquisition, HR systems, and cross-functional teams to support reporting, process improvements, and organizational growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in a related role required.
• Paylocity experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of benefits, payroll, compensation, leave administration, and multi-state employment requirements.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and benefit administration systems; Paylocity and Employee Navigator preferred.
• Strong Excel, reporting, data analysis, and auditing skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll and time administration through third-party providers, including changes, audits, reporting, timekeeping, PTO, deductions, and inquiries.
• Support compensation administration for salaried, hourly, sales, and field-based employees, including market pricing and benchmarking.
• Support annual merit planning and workforce budgeting.
• Maintain HRIS and benefits systems, support implementations and integrations, process changes, and data audits.
• Address HR inquiries and ensure compliance with policies and legal standards.
• Coordinate leave and disability programs with third-party administrators (FMLA, ADA, disability, state leaves).
• Administer employee benefit programs, enrollments, life events, terminations, enrollments, and education.
• Maintain benefit records and enrollment data in HR platforms; assist with renewals and wellness initiatives.
• Oversee new-hire onboarding with paperwork and schedules; collaborate cross-functionally.
• Prepare HR, payroll, benefits, compensation, and workforce reports for decision-making and compliance.
• Coordinate with brokers, carriers, vendors, and third-party admins; assist with invoice reconciliation and payroll deductions.
• Support ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and government reporting requirements.
• Support sales commission and incentive compensation administration; resolve discrepancies with Finance and Sales leadership.
• Identify opportunities to automate HR processes and improve data quality and employee experience.
• Maintain and update employee records and personnel files per legal requirements.
• Conduct offboarding exit interviews and maintain HR policies and handbook.
