Job summary

XPO is seeking an HR Generalist in St. Louis, MO. You’ll support employee relations, administer HR transactions with a shared services team, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

You’ll influence benefits delivery, assist with hiring and onboarding, and help implement HR programs that reinforce our values. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 1 year in HR, and a willingness to travel up to 50% with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 1 year of HR Generalist experience or equivalent
• Experience with planning, organizing, resource management and leadership
• Experience with FMLA, LOA and employment laws
• Experience supporting employee relations and confidential information
• Functional knowledge of payroll software, HRIS and Microsoft Office
• A valid driver’s license
• Willing to travel 25–50% with a flexible schedule
• PHR/SHRM certification (preferred)
• Experience partnering with leadership (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide employee relations guidance to employees and management; respond sensitively to needs of employees and leaders
• Oversee day-to-day HR transactions with a shared services team
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws; update HR policies and procedures
• Deliver benefits information based on handbook; ensure fair application of policies
• Investigate employee issues, incidents and complaints; resolve disputes and recommend remedial actions
• Support hiring managers by interviewing, presenting offers, coordinating onboarding and training
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures or information
• Support a values-driven environment through employee engagement activities
