Job summary

XPO, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support employee relations, HR transactions, and policy implementation with leadership and a shared services team.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, 1 year HR experience, and knowledge of FMLA/LOA and employment laws, plus payroll software and HRIS proficiency. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 1 year of HR Generalist experience or equivalent
• Experience with planning, organizing, resource management and leadership skills
• Experience with FMLA, LOA and other state and federal employment laws
• Experience supporting employee relations and confidential information
• Functional knowledge of payroll software, HRIS and MS Office
• A valid driver’s license
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekend work; travel 25-50% of the time

Responsibilities

• Provide employee relations guidance to employees and management; respond with sensitivity to needs of employees and business leaders
• Oversee day-to-day HR transactions in collaboration with a shared services team
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws; communicate and administer updated HR policies
• Deliver benefits information per handbook/policies; ensure fair application of policies
• Assist with investigating employee-related issues and disputes; recommend remedial actions
• Support hiring managers by interviewing, presenting offers, scheduling onboarding and training
• Assist in development/implementation of HR programs or policies
• Support a values-driven environment through employee engagement activities
