Job summary

XPO is seeking an Human Resources Generalist to support employee relations, HR transactions, and compliance across the organization. You will partner with managers to administer benefits, onboarding, and policy interpretations while ensuring consistent application of HR procedures.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), HR experience, and ability to travel up to 50% with a flexible schedule. XPO offers comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 1 year of experience as an HR Generalist or equivalent.
• Experience with basic business and customer service principles, including planning, organizing, resource management and leadership skills.
• Experience with FMLA, LOA and other state and federal employment laws.
• Experience supporting employee relations and strategic HR initiatives including handling sensitive, complex and confidential information.
• Demonstrate functional knowledge of payroll software, HRIS programs and Microsoft Office.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekend work; travel 25-50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide employee relations guidance to employees and management, responding sensitively to needs of employees and leaders.
• Oversee day-to-day HR transactions with shared services collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws; update HR policies and procedures.
• Deliver benefits information per handbook/policies; ensure fair and consistent application of policies.
• Investigate employee-related issues, incidents and complaints; resolve disputes and recommend actions.
• Support hiring managers by interviewing, extending offers, coordinating onboarding and training process.
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies or information.
• Support a values-driven environment through employee engagement activities.
