Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist in Kansas City to support employee relations and HR programs.

The role partners with leadership to deliver compliant HR services, administer benefits, payroll systems and training, while maintaining confidential handling of information. A strong foundation in employment laws and a proactive, service-oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• At least 1 year HR Generalist experience.
• Knowledge of payroll software, HRIS, and MS Office.
• Experience with FMLA/LOA and employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide employee relations guidance to employees and management; respond with sensitivity to needs.
• Oversee day-to-day HR transactions with a shared services team.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws; update HR policies and procedures.
• Deliver benefits information and ensure fair policy application.
• Assist investigations of employee issues and disputes; recommend remedial actions.
• Support hiring managers with interviewing, offers, onboarding and training.
• Assist in development and implementation of HR programs and information.
• Support employee engagement activities in a values-driven environment.
