Pavilionatcrescentlake in Dayton, OH seeks an HR Director to lead, direct and coordinate policies and activities of the human resources department in line with federal, state and local standards and regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field and a minimum of three years’ HR management experience, with strong knowledge of personnel administration and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with demonstrated success in human resource management.
• Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning personnel administration in post-acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the HR department; maintains written job descriptions and performance evaluations.
• Reviews requests for new or replacement personnel, arranges interviews and appointments.
• Checks applications and references for prospective employees and arranges interviews as required.
• Maintains job applications for personnel eligible to work in the facility.
• Maintains confidentiality of all employee information.
• Verifies right to work in the country and files documentation in personnel records.
• Maintains an adequate personnel record filing system.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state employment regulations regarding wages, overtime, etc.
• Ensures compliance with hiring/discharge policies and procedures.
• Orients new personnel to policies and payroll procedures.
• Keeps department directors informed of changes in personnel matters.
• Other duties as assigned.
