Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers in Norfolk, VA seeks an HR Client Partner (Recruitment Support) to provide full life cycle recruitment and hiring support for assigned departments, from planning and posting through selection, pre-employment, and onboarding. The role advises hiring managers and ensures accurate hiring transactions in HR/HCM systems.

Responsibilities include Form I-9 verification, onboarding, and cross-training to provide backup support as needed, with a strong emphasis on policy

Qualifications

• Full life cycle recruitment, onboarding, and pre-employment processes.
• Ability to manage multiple recruitments and priorities in a high-volume HR environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Coordinate recruitment through onboarding and new hire transactions.
• Interpret and apply HR policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with HR Partners, HR Transactions, and campus/university partners.
• Accurately key and review new hire actions in Banner and HR/HCM systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ATS/HRIS tools.
• Strong judgment, initiative, discretion, and detail orientation to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide full life cycle recruitment and hiring support for assigned departments.
• Advise hiring managers and process new hire transactions.
