Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to provide comprehensive HR consultation to align people strategy with business objectives. You will partner with leaders to implement talent management, development, compensation, performance, and organizational change across client groups.

As a trusted advisor, you will analyze HR metrics, identify trends, mitigate risk, coach managers on performance and employee relations, and drive engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or closely related field.
• Master's degree preferred; combination of education and experience acceptable.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR generalist role.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of HR policy and employment law.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR strategy aligned with business needs and broader organization.
• Offer analytics, insights, and recommendations on talent, leadership, and capability to deliver results.
• Coach leaders on performance management and employee relations, collaborating with ER as appropriate.
• Support engagement initiatives and mitigate risks by partnering with leaders and HR COEs.
• Advise on policy interpretation and compliance across the health system.
